Pros: Well Built, Comfortable, Good Fitting "I have high arches and recently bought 2 pairs of the green footbeds - first to use in my Sidi Ergo 5 shoes and was so impressed I got another pair to use in my Shimano RC7 shoes. The claims that the BG footbeds increase power and efficiency are valid for me. Compared to using the standard insoles that came with my shoes, pedalling feels smoother and I can climb some hills seated where I previously needed to get out of the saddle - so must be producing more power. I guess those with standard or low arches (so blue or red footbeds) might not find much difference to the insoles that came with their shoes. "

"Bought mainly to fill space in shoe which was slightly too large. Old insole was flat. Bought blue version which lifts height of foot a reasonable amount & supports the arch meaning the ratchet style shoe fastening held more firmly. So far the insole has also improved the contact feel with SPD style mtb pedals. Much more heavy duty than the original & so cushions the ball of foot contact point. Bought at good price from Cycle Store (full price a little steep!) "

May be thicker than stock insoles so be careful if you have a tight-fitting pair of shoes; they might be too thick for them!

Pros: Comfortable "I bought this footbed to help with an aching 'hot' spot and numbness on the ball of my left foot. This comes on typically after an hour or so of riding and is worse when climbing (greater pressure exerted). The footbed has helped bring some relief. I do still get some pins and needles but its definitely less uncomfortable than before. There is an integrated metatarsal pad that I think is releasing pressure on nerves in that area of my foot (by gently splaying the metatarsals). Have done a hilly 50k with no real issues whereas the soreness was getting me down before. Have to see how this works over the longer term and as distances increase, but if you have similar issues I think it is worth trying this for 20 pounds or so, as well as other fixes such as moving cleats backward on your shoes."
